IEM: An Integrated Ecosystem Model for Alaska and Northwest Canada
What we are doing
Using the Integrated Ecosystem Model (IEM) dynamic model framework to explore the impact of climate variability and change on ecosystem components, while also addressing the interactions and feedbacks among components.
The ultimate aim of the IEM is to provide resource managers and decision makers with scenarios for potential changes in landscape structure and/or ecosystem structure and function. In turn, these scenarios are intended for use as inputs to resource- or sector-specific impact models and decision support tools.
