Fire Tally
How much of Alaska has burned since 2004?
The charts in this tool compare the current year’s daily tally of acres burned to high fire years (> 1 million acres burned) since daily tally records began in 2004.
You can see tallies of Alaska acreage burned daily statewide, by fire protection area, and by year.
A map of fire protection areas is available, and you can choose a date range within Alaska’s traditional fire season (April 1–Sept 16).
