Climate Scenarios for the Northwest Territories

From Aklavik to Yellowknife, how might climate shift over decades—or even centuries?

See climate projections—including very long-term extrapolations—for 47 communities in the Northwest Territories of Canada.

You can look at each of five different climate models or a model average, choosing only selected months if you wish. For example, you can chart projected precipitation in May and June for Fort McPherson, years 2000–2300, using a five-model average.

The tool also explains how different levels of greenhouse gas emissions create the various paths to future climates known as RCPs and ECPs.
